It is revealed that Satoshi Takeda (Hiroyuki Sanada) watched Daniel and Tyler on the beach, and he is the one who killed Tyler.

15 - Chaos

Daniel proposes to Emily and she accepts, even though she knows about the clause in his trust fund. Conrad tells Daniel about Charlotte. Meanwhile, Victoria sends a man to Jack's house to find the tapes, which Emily planted there, and Jack is brutally beaten in the process. It's revealed that Ryan Huntly (Victora's divorce lawyer) is on Emily's side. Emily tells Amanda the truth, and tells her to leave town to keep herself and Jack safe. Daniel confronts Victoria about Charlotte, and when Victoria finds it difficult to talk about, Daniel believes she was raped by David. When he tells Emily this, her plan for revenge is only intensified.

While at Treadwell's home under the guise of having him write Nolan's biography, Emily notices that he has tapes of all his interviews. Meanwhile, Victoria wants Treadwell to interview Amanda on why she's returned to the Hamptons. Emily uses Amanda to confront Treadwell about his actions, and to strongly urge him to confess at his book reading later that night. Daniel tries to negotiate the return of his trust fund to even the odds with his parents' divorce, but Conrad adds a clause that he won't have shares in the company until he turns 30 or gets married. Daniel tells Victoria he wants to marry Emily. When Treadwell doesn't come clean at the reading, Emily breaks into his house, steals the tapes, and sets the house on fire.

11 - Duress

While searching for the Whale Cam in Tyler's room, Emily discovers his medication and finds out that police have been looking for Tyler since his doctor was attacked. In addition, Tyler hasn't been enrolled in Harvard in a year. Daniel confronts him, and Tyler leaves. Meanwhile, everyone else is setting up Daniel's birthday clambake, and Nolan believes Tyler is on a plane back to the West Coast, until Tyler appears in his home with a knife. He cuts Nolan and ties him up, then heads to Emily's house. At Daniel's party, Victoria and Conrad meet "Amanda." Tyler's brother, Alex, arrives and helps Nolan. Tyler confronts Emily and demands she give him the Whale Cam. He threatens everyone at the party at gunpoint until Alex arrives to help. He talks Tyler down so Jack and Daniel can overpower him. Later, Nolan reveals that the gun never had bullets in it, despite the fact that Emily always keeps it loaded. 

10 - Loyalty

Daniel finds Tyler's need to be part of the Grayson family suspicious, and tells his father the truth about how Tyler got Nolan to invest in the company. Ryan Huntly, who is revealed to have denied David Clarke's appeal of his sentence years ago, offers his services as a divorce lawyer to Victoria. Charlotte decides to live with her father, and Daniel decides to support Victoria. Tyler steals Nolan's "Whale Cam," with the footage of Lydia confronting Conrad, among other videos. Nolan stops working with Emily. Victoria learns "Amanda Clarke" is back in town. 

09 - Suspicion

Emily seeks the help of a Japanese acquaintance in her quest for revenge. Nolan agrees to give Tyler the money, on the condition that Tyler continue his "services," but Ashley walks in on them kissing. Amanda starts a romance with Jack and pretends to be the real Amanda, his childhood friend. Conrad moves Lydia out of the house against Victoria's wishes. Charlotte and Declan continue their romance in secret, using the money Victoria paid. In an attempt to have Victoria see her as more than an assistant, Ashley betrays Emily. 

08 - Treachery

05 - Guilt

At the conclusion of the episode, Frank breaks into Lydia's apartment and finds a series of items that suggest Lydia was behind the downfall of Bill Harmon, Senator Kingsley and Dr. Banks – unaware that Emily arranged for the items to be sent. Lydia returns to the apartment and the two engage in a scuffle that results in Lydia falling five stories onto the roof of a taxi, a scuffle that Nolan witnesses from his whale cam.
